The solemn opening of the celebration of 60 years of Marianist presence in Togo took place on Saturday November 10, 2018 in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral in Lomé. The mass was presided over by the Reverend Father Désiré KPODARE, administrator of the cathedral and concelebrated by about twenty priests among whom: the Regional of the Marianist brothers of Togo, Fr. Ignace PAGNAN. For the record, the Swiss brothers arrived in Togo and more precisely in Lama-Kara for an establishment in 1958. The pioneers: Father Robert Mattlé (Provincial then); Father Stefan Höin; Brother Auguste Augustin and Brother Pierre Catin have already joined the house of the celestial Father. A living tribute is paid to them. The texts proposed for meditation that day were as follows: The first reading: 2 Sa 7, 1-17; the responsorial psalm: Ps 88 and the Gospel is from St Matthew 28, 16-20. The homily was given by Father Ignace PAGNAN.
